Jon Stewart, during his June 27, 2012 Daily Show, continues to keep marijuana prohibition in the national spotlight. After a dig at the Republican-controlled New York state senate for killing Governor Cuomo’s proposed marijuana decriminalization plan, Stewart turns his attention to Governor Christie in New Jersey.

New Jersey has its own plan to decriminalize marijuana. Like too many conservatives, Christie prefers to pick and choose where the Fed should keep out of states’ rights. Check out Stewart having fun with Christie video clips on his hypocrisy on marijuana vs. sports gambling.  Christie says it’s unacceptable to go against the Fed on marijuana, but for sports gambling, he says:

“We intend to go forward and allow sports gambling to happen, if someone wants to stop us, then they’ll have to take action to try to stop us.”

My favorite quote in the clip has to be Stewart’s “We are a gov swap away from making the Garden State the Holy Shit Look At That-Garden State!”
